GSI Precision Staking Module™

The GSI Precision Staking Module allows GSI PocketDesigner and GSI PocketCollector to operate with the NMEA output from the Trimble® Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) line of receivers.

Using the Precision Staking Module along with the Trimble 5800 receiver, it is now possible to achieve sub-centimeter accuracy (10 decimeters or less) when staking a design or collecting data. One important feature of the Precision Staking Module is its ability to receive real-time corrections from a Virtual Reference Station (VRS) network over the internet. In this scenario, the Precision Staking Module connects to the VRS network using an internet connection via a Bluetooth® enabled mobile phone or a cellular modem card.

The Precision Staking Module also has support for Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol (NTRIP). The GSI Precision Staking Module supports VRS network and single base connections over the internet with or without NTRIP. The GSI Precision Staking Module is currently supported on any Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ 2003 device.
